QFS was appointed to deliver the scaffolding and specialist access package for the major redevelopment of the Westbury Hotel.
The project involved the complete transformation of the existing hotel into a new 196-room luxury hotel. The works included extensive internal demolition, removal of the rear section of the building, construction of a new rear extension, additional accommodation at roof level, a new two-level basement and significant façade enhancements.
QFS provided adaptable access solutions throughout the different stages of demolition, structural alteration, façade construction and finishing works. The scaffold arrangements were continually coordinated with the changing structure and the requirements of multiple specialist trades.
The extremely restricted Mayfair location, adjoining live retail premises and nearby residential properties, required detailed scaffold design, carefully managed deliveries and close coordination with the wider construction programme.
