QFS was appointed to provide the scaffolding and specialist access required for the major refurbishment of Nova House, a high-rise residential building containing 68 apartments in central Slough.
The project involved a complete external overhaul of the building, including the removal of the existing façade and the installation of new non-combustible aluminium cladding. QFS provided and maintained the external access scaffolding, allowing the façade works to be completed safely and efficiently.
Unforeseen structural issues discovered during the removal works meant that the scaffold and access arrangements had to adapt as the project progressed. Our site team worked closely with the main contractor and the other specialist contractors to coordinate alterations, maintain safe access and support the changing programme.
The project was completed in 2024, significantly improving the building’s fire safety, thermal performance and external appearance.
